Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a carpenter for a small, high quality window and door replacement.company that is experiencing rapid growth. We are looking for the right person to join our carpentry team who has a passion for windows and doors, working on older homes and providing the highest quality customer service.

Job Description
" In this role the Carpenter - Window & Door Installer will help prep the home for installation, remove old windows and doors, prep openings and help install new windows and doors, and will help clean up when projects are.completed.
" This position will be continuously evaluated and is structured to eventually become a Lead Carpenter position depending on growth and performance.

Hours/Days of Work
" Full time. Work hours are generally Monday through Friday 8:00am -- 5:00pm. (Dependent on projects and scheduling)

Job Location
" Locations are all in the Portland metro area and will vary with each project. Applicants must have reliable transportation to job sites and a valid driver's license.

Previous Experience Requirements
" Prior experience in the construction, or remodeling industry is required. Must be experienced using basic hand tools and saws. good.communication skills, ability to follow directions, and being a team player are required.

Duties and Responsibilities
" Carpenter - Installer will work directly with the Lead Carpenter. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
" o Setting up and cleanup of work area
" o Handling old and new windows and doors
" o Using hand tools

Prepping window and door openings ---
" Installing new windows and doors
" Finish carpentry skills to trim out windows
" Having a desire to learn and expand skills
" Being meticulous, and taking pride in their work

Additional Responsibilities and Requirements
" Must be able to understand and communicate in English
" Act as a favorable representative of the company -- Good customer service skills, being friendly, courteous, trustworthy, and polite are all desirable characteristics.
" Honesty, punctuality, and attention to detail are critical traits.
" Must be able to be respectful in customer's homes and be mindful of their space.

Physical Requirements
" This is a physically demanding position. Due to the nature of the position, nearly all of your time will be spent standing, bending, lifting and carry items, climbing stairs and ladders.
" Must use good judgment when carrying lifting and using hand tools
" Must be capable of lifting at least 50 pounds and occasionally work above shoulder height
" Must have strong grip and good balance
" Occasionally with need to work in small spaces
" Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Mirelda Villagomez

Mirelda joined the Madden Industrial team in April of 2008 as a Recruiter in the Vancouver office. Mirelda is responsible for recruitment and placement of industrial/construction laborers, welders, equipment operators, machinists, and other skill trade specialists. She brings Madden over 12 years of staffing experience, having been employed by two national staffing agencies, and was previously a Human Resource Generalist for a national polyurethane company. As a Human Resources Generalist she was responsible for the screening and staffing of all shifts and for the company’s CDL truck drivers. Mirelda was also safety director and handled safety-related issues and training of hearing conservation, log out tag out, confined space and Contingency plan. Mirelda was the first female to be Hazmat certified for that company. As a first responder, Mirelda was also in charge of maintaining all Hazmat equipment. She is bi-lingual (Spanish / English) and received Volunteer of the Year award for her dedication and service to disaster victims. Mirelda also established her own business where she designs jewelry using semi precious stones. Her hobbies include gardening, sewing, extreme couponing, and spending time with her precious grandchildren.
