Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CNC programmer for a manufacturing facility in Clackamas, Oregon.

Work Description:
o Under minimal supervision, create and modify NC (numerical control) programs in Mastercam and SolidWorks for HAAS and MORI CNC milling centers. Independently perform machine set-ups and develop standardized set-up sheets for repeating orders. Instruct and mentor machinist operators throughout production process.
o Oversee support tooling, fixture development and.organization. Assist with cost estimating, job scheduling, and document control duties.

Essential Functions:
o Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of services, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
o Develop and modify HAAS and MORI mill programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, set tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches, calculate requirements using basic math, algebra, geometry and trigonometry, proving part programs. Evaluate and apply program requirements for a wide variety of raw materials, including hardened heat-treated metals.
o Write CNC multi-axis programs or modify existing programs in G&M Code, FANUC, CAD/CAM, Mastercam and solid works and ensure that programs are proven and successfully transferred to the machine. Confirm first articles and ensure that parts are running correctly and meet all drawing and BOM (bill of material) specifications.
o Mentor and instruct machinist operators on basic program logic and parameters, as it applies to fixtures and inserts, equipment set-up, and support tooling.
o Create, test, and manage database of standardized set-up sheets for repeating jobs.
o Assist in quoting process by studying RFQs and determining materials, work operations and required run-times necessary to.complete.
o Organize and evaluate stocked tool-crib inventories.
o Maintain standardized database for mill programs in ERP system and on.network.
o Maintain development list for mill programs and.communicate to management in a timely manner any identified problems which could negatively affect production delivery sc.edule.
o Evaluate and approve drawings, routers, specifications and other documents.
o Assist with staging and parts production as needed.
o Document actions by.completing production, quality and maintenance logs.
o Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, and modification; including the ability to identify and perform tool wear offsets as needed.

O 5 years of proven experience working unaided on programming and operating HAAS and MORI CNC multi-axis milling machines in a job shop environment; including manual milling.
o Proven ability to write and transfer CNC programs to HAAS and MORI mills.
o Experience with multi-axis, vertical and horizontal machines; including large and small production quantity runs.
o Working knowledge of fixtures, inserts and tooling needed to support CNC programs for a wide variety of HAAS and MORI mills.
o Experience with BOMs, work orders, drawings, blueprints, CAD/CAM and other data necessary for programming calculations.
o Working knowledge of standard and exotic raw materials; including hardened, heat-treated metals.
o Proven ability to calculate essential algebra, unit conversions, geometry, trigonometry into speeds and feeds applications.
o Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programming systems and protocols.
o Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows on both desktop and server.
o Technical knowledge of Mastercam and G&M coding practices.
o Ability to read, analyze and interpret bids and quotes, technical procedures and high level documents and regulations.
