Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for an experienced up-fitter for a Mounting Department with a commercial truck and transportation company. This position will be building and mounting dry vans, flatbeds and refrigerated vans located in Portland, OR.

- Follow written specifications and instructions for mounting and installation of van bodies, lift gates and other accessories.
- Drive forklifts and truck chassis around the yard while interacting with others doing the same.
- Regular MIG welding, including overhead welding and from other positions.
- Cut, saw, drill and grind various van body parts during the mounting process.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems with minimal direction.
- High attention to detail and the ability to predict and solve issues instantaneously.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the mounting bays at all times.
- Assist the Mounting Manager and Mounting Lead with additional tasks as requested.
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times and report any unsafe conditions to management immediately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with shifting priorities.
- Lift, carry, push and pull 75lbs. Consistently. Stooping, bending, twisting and standing for extended periods of time. Work on ladders and at height for varying periods of time.
- Mild steel welding.
- Pre-employment drug test.
- Must have your own transportation.
- High-school diploma, GED or relevant experience.

Kelly joined the Madden Team in April of 2012 as an Administrative Assistant, bringing over 10 years of customer service experience. In 2015, she became a full time recruiter in the Vancouver Office. Kelly came to us from the Southwest Washington Humane Society where she oversaw animal advocacy programs requiring great customer service and administrative skills. Kelly is pursuing her degree in Business Management at Clark College while managing an active household of three teenagers. In her free time Kelly enjoys camping and fishing with her family.
