Experienced Treater
Washougal, Washington

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Treater for a wood pressure treating plant, manufacturing and distribution facility in Washougal.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities
o Treats lumber to the required specifications.
o Operates a forklift in a safe and productive manner
o Operate a fork lift to load carts and stack finished lumber.
o Provide oversight for the retort/treating cylinders during the wood treatment process.
o Place bunks to maximize dripping efficiency.
o Prepare units of lumber for processing in the treating cylinder.
o Monitor stock of chemicals and inform supervisor as necessary.
o Maintain carts and pumps.
o Wash and sweeps the floors and tracks.
o Work to maintain quality control over the treated products as appropriate.
o Document and retain records.
o Tag material
Qualifications:
o High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum of three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Must be capable of obtaining forklift certification.
o Must maintain and carry a valid driver license and remain eligible and capable of operating company vehicles in accordance with company policy guidelines.
o Basic knowledge of the lumber track system.
o Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
o Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
o Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
o Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
o While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and communicate.
o The employee frequently is required to sit and stand. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
o Must have the ability to view a computer screen with use of a keyboard.
o The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Repetitive wrist/hand motions while operating a forklift
