FORKLIFT FIELD MECHANIC

Our client is seeking a skilled Field Forklift Technicians to maintain and repair forklift equipment for a variety of clients. These professionals make sure forklifts are operating safely by completing the following duties: diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventative maintenance, and repairing brakes and suspension.

Essential job requirements seen on a Forklift Technician resume sample are mechanical skills, troubleshooting, problem solving, teamwork, time management, and extensive knowledge of all forklift components.

We are looking for a self-motivated experienced mechanic with IC (Internal Combustion) and electrical background. Individual will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and trouble shooting repairs. Our Fleet consists of heavy, medium, and light forklifts. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ASE certification are a plus.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and pass a driving abstract (clean motor vehicle report).

Job Requirements:
o Serves existing and new accounts by diagnosing, servicing and repairing forklift trucks
o Conducting tests and resolving problems
o Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts and completing installations
o Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions and suggesting improved methods and techniques
o Upsells during repairs and ongoing PM's with proper documentation for follow up
o Keeps personal and company equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance and calling in repairs
o Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports and logs using a Tablet/Catavolt
o Maintain service work truck, clean and well stocked
o Never compromise safety, including while driving

Skills and Qualifications:
o Have their own basic tool set
o Knowledge of internal combustion engines (Gas, LPG and Diesel)
o Basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics
o Equipment Maintenance
o Analyzing information
o Ability to work independently and as a team
o Quality Focus
o Results Driven
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Excellent Customer Relations skills
o ASE Certification is a plus, but not required
o Pre-employment drug screen & background check.
