HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

We have a client located in Portland, OR 97224 (TIgard, OR) seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic with extensive electrical and hydraulic experience to work on the world's largest heavy equipment attachments.

Key Accountabilities:
Install custom material kits onto factory heavy equipment machinery, such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Kobelco, and John Deere. Kits consist of hydraulic, electrical and fabrication modifications .
Follow manufacturer and company service guidelines and procedures to ensure quality work and to preserve and document component failure information for accurate failure analysis.
Must be able to read factory schematics and prints (USE SCHEMATICS AND PRINTS TO DIAGNOSE HYDRAULIC AND ELECTRICAL ISSUES)
Develop and maintain a strong customer service relationship with all customer contacts. Welding and steel fabrication is a must.
Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts list, and time cards in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensure assigned company vehicle maintains a clean professional appearance and is in proper working order.
Project a positive professional image with customers.
National and International travel is required
Must Pass Motor Vehicle Report check

Minimum Education/Experience/ Skills requirements:
Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years' experience working with heavy equipment
High school graduate or equivalent
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and power train systems required
Able to work without direct supervision
Excellent customer service skills
Experience handling stressful situations while maintaining professionalism.
Able to troubleshoot and have technical experience
Certification/ Apprenticeship Preferred

Pay is $26-$36/hr DOE
