We have a client in Hillsboro, OR seeking a Journeyman Millwright.
This position will perform all duties associated with general maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, fabrication, and design of the facility and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose issues and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, schematics and/or equipment manuals.
Repair or replace defective equipment parts and reassemble equipment.
Repairs to 2 different types of presses, electrical and steam. Electrical press repairs include replacing heating elements, air bags, thermostats, and temperature gauges and repairing cooling lines. Steam press repairs include replacing steam traps, steam lines, impression cloths, and repairing steam leaks.
Mold and die repairs. Cut molds to length, attach end caps, drill and fasten molds together, work with steel rule, drill, and tap holes using helicoils.
Plant and building repairs. Install plumbing to building. Office structure repair.
Hydraulic repairs. Repair or replace obsolete parts, including seals, valves, etc.
Plumbing repairs. Repair or replace leaking pipes, fixing tanks, replacing toilets, etc.
Boiler repairs. Solder any leaks, repair or replace parts including burner assembles, etc.
Equipment repairs. Use mechanical knowledge to repair orbit motors, fabricate parts for equipment and/or machinery, design and make safety guards, all work on forklifts, presses, etc.
Troubleshoot, replace and calibrate Thermocouples.
Trace out and draw electrical control circuits.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and service on equipment/machinery, building systems and building structure.
Operate hand and power tools, material handling equipment, lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, precision measuring instruments, electric testing devices, cutting torches and welding equipment.
Order/obtain parts, supplies and equipment.
Improve or add fabrication equipment by listening to the department's concerns and/or needs and designing equipment and machinery to meet those needs as closely as possible while maintaining safety standards.
Determine what safety equipment is needed, design it and incorporate it onto equipment and/or machinery.
Comply with safety regulations and procedures.
Maintain clean, organized work areas.

EPAC CMMS experience a plus
Allen Bradley PLC programming/troubleshooting a plus
Accurate welding skills including use of cutting torch, brazing, silver soldering, etc.
Accurate plumbing skills including installation of all types of plumbing; toilets, sinks, pipes, faucets, etc.
Hydraulic skills including knowledge of hydraulic schematics, ability to read hydraulic blueprints, make repairs to a variety of hydraulic equipment and machinery, etc.
Accurate electrical skills including knowledge of electrical schematics, ability to read electrical blueprints and repair a variety of electrical repairs on equipment, machinery and new installations.
Trace Electrical wiring and draw schematics as required.
Use and understanding of A-B PLC logic a plus but not required.
Understand the proper use of thermocouples how to identify the different types.
Ability to do mechanical work including ability to take apart any type of machinery, make the repairs needed and reassemble the machinery.
Carpentry skills including ability to tie carpentry knowledge to the needs of a department, design project, determine the supply needs and build a sturdy, safe structure.
Ability to operate maintenance machinery including: lathe - general knowledge of set-up and abilities to turn down and polish shafts, turn down punches, etc.; horizontal mill - basic knowledge of the operation and use of the horizontal mill and ability to become proficient by learning set-up and operation including vices, speeds, feeds, material alignment, proper speeds for different types of material, etc.; vertical mill - ability to learn how to set-up and operate vertical mill including vices, speeds, feeds, proper speed for different material, etc.; drill jig border - ability to drill and be accurate within one thousand of an inch; drill press - ability to drill and be accurate within one thousand of an inch; and power cut off saw - ability to make precise measurements and cut within 1/64" tolerance of the required length.
Knowledge and use of hand tools in the maintenance department including air tools, drills, dremels, chain saw, etc.
Troubleshooting abilities: electrical - including starters, DC controllers, etc.; pneumatic - including repair and replacement of valves, electric switches, etc.; hydraulic - including repair and replacement of valves, seals, etc.; mechanical - ability to tear down all equipment, find the problem, replace or repair broken part(s) and reassemble the machine and/or equipment; electrical presses - including replace or repair heating elements, air bags, cooling lines, thermostats, temperature gauges, etc.; and steam presses - including replace or repair steam leaks, traps, lines, impression clothes, etc.
Ability to run air and water hose throughout plant by feeding lines through the plant, tapping into the main source of power, securing lines up above work areas and hanging down lines in the appropriate location and length.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals.
Willingness to ask questions and communicate openly with superiors and peers.
Ability to give input on issues in a team atmosphere and support team and management decisions when they are not of your opinion.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations. Forklift experience is beneficial.

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift heavy equipment and packages up 60 lbs. Occasionally and less weight more frequently. Standing or walking most of the day. Bending over and kneeling. Climbing stairs. Pushing and pulling product. Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to walk, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance and talk or hear.
