Company located in Tualatin, OR is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist. Plan, sets up and perform with frequent supervision, basic machining operations on a limited range of machine tools in the production of fixtures, tooling, machined parts, and related work.

Key Accountabilities:
o Operate basic machine tools such as engine lathes, drill press, band saws, and related equipment and attachments .
o Work from drawings, sketches, specifications, or oral instructions.
o Make basic set ups utilizing existing tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
o Select and set tools in proper location, set speeds and feeds, indicate and set up work as needed to avoid run out or misalignment.
o Maintain designated dimensions relating to diameters, bores, grooves, concentricity, parallelism, and prescribed drawing specifications .
o Perform tolerance checking and gauging functions to assure adherence to all drawing specifications and quality standards .
o Lay out work and make necessary calculations for machining and finishing.
o Sharpen tools as required and replace broken or malfunctioning tooling.
o Detect defective material, unusual conditions, or operating difficulties for reporting to supervisor.
o Ensure the safe operation of all equipment, tools, and processes as well as compliance with safety regulations and keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
o Perform associated duties or related work as assigned.

Minimum Education/Experience/ Skills requirements:
o Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand
o Attention to detail, Multi-tasking and organizational skills
o Hand/Eye Coordination
o Independent Self-Starter/Team Player
o Mathematical Skills: General Arithmetic/Basic Algebra/Basic Geometry/Percentages
