Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Millwright Machinist for a large shop in Clackamas, Oregon. This facility specializes in heavy, high complexity fabrication and specialty boat building. The Millwright Machinists works on a team helping assemble, disassemble, and test small to very large fabricated assemblies., assist machinery maintenance workers as well as industrial machinery mechanics as needed to help make sure the plant and all machines operate efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Assist machinery maintenance workers as well as industrial machinery mechanics as needed to help make sure the plant and all machines operate efficiency.
- Clean up at the end of shift to make sure your job site remains well-organized, free of unnecessary clutter.
- Take steps to ensure every job is done in a manner that's safe and completed according to the latest workplace safety regulations, laws and requirements.
- Mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Will read blueprints and other technical documents to dismantle and assemble equipment.
- Help develop plans and sequencing for assemblies.

Qualifications:
5 years minimum experience
Use a variety of hand tools and measuring tools including micrometers to disassemble and reassemble and test large assemblies. For example; Ice Breaker Boat Propellers, Wheel Gates for Hydro projects, cranes for paint hangers.
You will lift heavy objects, physically manipulate objects with tools as needed
Utilizing cranes and other equipment to complete large-scale projects in your daily job duties
Ability to run manual machine tools is a plus. Need to be able to do this safely using the correct equipment to avoid injury to self and others.
Understand machined fits and be able to use measuring equipment to verify sizes of parts prior to assembly.
Understanding bearings installation and adjustment along with some hydraulic and electrical experience is a plus.
Able to communicate clearly written and oral
Troubleshooting Skills are required defined by ability to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue.
