Trailer Mechanic
Troutdale, OR

Currently looking for an experienced Trailer Mechanic and an entry level Mechanic to fill openings with a shop located in Troutdale, OR. Interested candidates should have a minimum of 1 year experience as a trailer mechanic required OR a mechanical background for the entry level position.

Responsibilities of the Trailer Mechanic
o Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on semi-trailers and dollies.
o Troubleshoot and work with air brakes, anti-lock brakes, suspensions, axles and electrical systems.
o Perform welding and fabrication on steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
o Complete body repairs on semi-trailers including repairing or replacing side panels, roofs, headers and frame rails.
o Replace wood and aluminum decking.
o Repair and replace roll up and swing doors.
o Maintain daily work records on all repairs performed on paper and electronically.
o Brake jobs, shocks, changing lights, tires.

Compensation for the Trailer Mechanic
o The starting salary for this position is $22.00 per hour.
o Benefits include medical, dental, vision, vacation and retirement plan

It would be at least 40hrs a week mon-fri.
Requirements of the Trailer Mechanic:
o Minimum 1 year experience as a heavy duty trailer mechanic required OR a mechanical background for the entry level position.
o Valid driver's license and a good driving record preferred.
o Pre-employment drug screen and employment background check may be required
