Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking laborers for a wood pressure treating plant, manufacturing and distribution facility in Washougal. This position is responsible to ensure constant inventory flow in production by performing jobs in manufacturing or distribution facility in a safe and productive manner. The key areas of focus for this position are as follows;

Responsibilities
-Check unit tags for accuracy
-Barcode and tag units
-Repackage and band units
-Set stickers
-Pull special orders
-Keep area clean at all times
-Work in specific areas of warehouse as needed.
-Work in various departments as needed.
-Willingness to work weekends and off shift dependent on market conditions

Qualifications
-High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Minimum one-month related experience and/or training; ability to train to obtain forklift certification.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and understand instructions and memos. Ability to write simple sentences.
-Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
-The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to communicate and occasionally required to climb or balance
-Subject to varying weather conditions including rain, snow, ice, wind, heat and cold
-The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
-Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, color, peripheral and depth perception.
-This position is repetitive and fast paced in nature. The employee must pay attention to detail.
-The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles.
-The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
-This position requires wearing eye protection, leather/rubber gloves, safety shoes, and safety vest.

Kelly joined the Madden Team in April of 2012 as an Administrative Assistant, bringing over 10 years of customer service experience. In 2015, she became a full time recruiter in the Vancouver Office. Kelly came to us from the Southwest Washington Humane Society where she oversaw animal advocacy programs requiring great customer service and administrative skills.
